In our tests, we observed that the iRobot S9+ cleaned thoroughly and efficiently a range of floor surfaces including hard and medium-pile carpets. It also worked well with vinyl flooring, and laminate flooring. It also did a good job of navigating between furniture and objects however it had some issues with stairs, and can crash into objects like bookcases.
The S9's ability to return to its base and empty its dust bin when it is full was an excellent feature. It eliminated the necessity for manual maintenance. The dust bag should last for about 30 loads or a month and half. You'll need to replace the filter periodically (as recommended by iRobot). We've found that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get extremely loud when it's in use and is a great choice for those who live with pets or children.
Eufy RoboVac Hybrid X8
Robot vacuum cleaners are made to take care of the chores for you, and they can clean carpet and hardwood floors. The best ones can be controlled and monitored via apps for smartphones and some include mopping tech for kitchen and bathroom floors. They're a great solution for busy families, and they're becoming more affordable than ever. If you want top-of-the-line features in your robotic cleaner, you're going to need to pay a little more.
The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid vacuum and mopping machine is an excellent option for those who live in multi-floored apartments. Its dual motors offer impressive cleaning power and the 0.6l dust bin can hold a lot of pet hair. The dustbin is easily removed and empty which is great as you'll need to do this on a regular basis.
It's easy to set up and I would recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid before running it for the first time. You'll need to install the Eufy Home app and follow the instructions for connecting to your Wi-Fi network. The app will then help you to create a map of your home. Rooms can be named and divide large spaces into sub-rooms (good for open-plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that require cleaning at the time of. There are many other robots that have similar mapping and scanning functions, but Eufy's application is more refined and user-friendly than the other.
The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can turn on the mop or vacuum cleaner through voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a nice feature that makes the robot hands-free. It was a success in our test house.
As with many robotic vacuums the X8 Hybrid has some issues with floors that are not clean. It is prone to miss fur and other small objects, and can cause bumps to objects, such as its charger on the charging platform. It's not as quiet and the whirring sound can be distracting as other models.
Roborock V3S Pro
This model doesn't have the same features as some of the more expensive ones we've tested, but it does provide the essentials. It has a huge dust bin that can hold a large amount of dirt before needing to be empty. The mop and vacuum system is great for carpets and hard floors with low pile. It's also extremely quiet. We could watch TV while it cleaned without feeling as though we were being overwhelmed by noise.
Our test subjects were extremely impressed by how simple the machine was to use and set up. They also loved its ability to remove all the messes from their flooring. It even did a pretty good job at removing pet hair and messes on carpeting, but it wasn't as successful in tackling stubborn stuck-on staining. They found the app user-friendly and intuitive, and they could schedule the vacuum to clean regularly to cut down on the amount they had to do manually. The only downside is that it doesn't include any mapping technology or object avoidance, so you can't direct it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips can be used).

It's also extremely quiet and has a huge dust bin that can hold a lot before it needs to be emptied.
Although the V3S Pro didn't earn a place in any of our top choices compilations from reliable sources that carry out hands-on testing, it still received here high marks from reviewers from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was simple to use and set up, but the battery life was short.
