This budget self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner does a good job on carpets with low piles and hard flooring. Its combo brush reaches into corners and edges, and it automatically increases suction when it spots carpet. It also does a good job of cleaning dirt from carpet in the middle. The IQ's tiny footprint for docks and its self-emptying feature are both nice features. However, if you want to change the floor levels on the map or create no-go zones, you'll have to manually reset it to do this, which can be quite an inconvenience.
The IQ's application has advanced mapping and automation capabilities but it's missing no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing navigation system provides greater maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, but it is prone to get caught up in rug tassels, and its iHome speaker allows you to operate the robot by voice commands.
In our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair well, clearing an impressive amount of debris from floors that were not bare and fair amounts of medium-pile carpet. It was less effective on shag carpets. It was unable to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to maneuver the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower website on bare floors however it soon recovered speed and performed better than the other robots we tried.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a larger dustbin, lasts longer on a charge and is capable of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It also comes with a mopping attachment that can deal with sticky debris. The iRobot, however, is better built and has less components that require replacement or maintenance and incurs fewer recurring costs, can create virtual no-go zones using its companion application. The BoostIQ mode is another fantastic feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to set up the robot to automatically adjust suction strength based upon the type of floor and the level of the mess. The remote control makes it simple to guide the 11S to the desired place.
