The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button press. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and move on if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can also remove wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a robots that vacuum and mop sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a specific path.
The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can place the L10s in the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
