The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to identify your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move on when it encounters one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. sweep and mop robot This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a specific path.
The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice, but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can alter how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
